Construction work on the Route 1 eastbound exit ramp
for Lorneville (exit 112) is extended for another week. The detour is
anticipated to last until Tuesday, September 27th. This closure is required to
widen the exit ramp as part of the highway realignment process.
Motorists that normally use
exit 112 will be detoured as follows: travel past exit 112 and take exit 114 to
Route 7; take exit 96 to “Saint John West”; continue westbound on Route 100 to
the Route 1 overpass at exit 112. This detour is 7.5 km in length. Signage will
be in place to help guide the flow of traffic.
Please plan your travel
accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience and will work efficiently to
minimize disruption. When the Route 1 Gateway is completed by July 31, 2013,
travel will be safer and more reliable for residents, commuters and visitors.
