What is the Central Peninsula Secondary Plan?

The Plan contains a set of policies and actions that will to guide growth and improve the Uptown, South End, and Waterloo Village neighbourhoods and key corridors such as Union Street and Crown Street over the next 30 years. The Secondary Plan is currently in the adoption Phase, in conjunction with amendments to the Municipal Plan, Zoning By-law, and Heritage Conservation Areas By-law.


What is the status of the Secondary Plan? Has it been completed?

On October 7th, 2019 Council opened a 30 day period to receive feedback on the draft plan. The comment period closed on November 6th, 2019. 
At their November 18th, 2019 meeting, Common Council referred the Plan to the Planning Advisory Committee for review at their November 26th, 2019 meeting and set a date for the public hearing at Common Council’s December 9th, 2019 meeting. Both meetings will be open to the public to attend and speak with respect to the Plan.
