National Police Week May 10-16, 2020

Thu May 7, 2020

“One Uniform – Many Specialities"

That is the theme for National Police Week, which runs from May 10 to May 16, 2020.

“Every day, the sworn and civilian members of the Saint John Police Force ensure safety for the citizens and businesses in Saint John,” says Saint John Police Force Chief Steph Drolet.

“I have only been with the Saint John Police Force since the end of February 2020, but I am continually impressed with the level of skill and dedication our employees provide to the community,” adds Chief Drolet.

Over 58,000 calls for service and close to 10,000 active files in 2019 highlight some of the work the Saint John Police Force deals with and has accomplished.

Despite the current restrictions with COVID-19, which have reduced our ability to interact and celebrate with those of you in the community during Police Week, rest assured - the Saint John Police Force and its members remain committed to your safety and wellbeing in these difficult times.

We look forward to resuming our community interactions and in-person connections, once the current situation allows,” says Chief Drolet.

The Saint John Police Force was established in 1849 and is recognized as one of the oldest police forces in Canada.
