Saint John Police Force Media Release - Roger Roberge

In the interest of public safety, the Saint John Police Force is issuing a warning about Roger Ernest Joseph Roberge, 62, who was recently released from the Atlantic Institute in Renous, New Brunswick after completing a 12 year and 30 day sentence for forcible confinement and sexual assault in 2001.

Roberge is a convicted violent sex offender. The Saint John Police Force considers Roberge to be a high risk to re-offend sexually and violently against females and other vulnerable persons. Roberge will be residing in the Saint John area and will be monitored by the Family Protection Unit of the Saint John Police Force.

The Saint John Police Force is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community.
