Seeking Assistance with Robbery Investigation

The Saint John Police Force Major Crime Unit is seeking the  public’s assistance in connection with a recent armed robbery at a commercial business located on City Line in west Saint John, NB.

On September 6th, 2018 at approximately 1214pm, the Saint John Police Force responded to the report of a  robbery which occurred at Jones Variety at 304 City Line on Saint John’s West Side.

Patrol officers along with K-9 unit arrived on scene shortly after and attempted to do a dog track , however no one was located.

A lone male suspect came into the store demanding cash. There were no injuries sustained during the commission of this offence.

Suspect was wearing:

-    A grey American Eagle Hoodie with “AE-7” on the front in blue or black ink
-    A grey ball cap with possible “Grey Camo” on the beak. Flat style beak
-    Black jogging pants
-    Black and white Nike Basketball Sneakers with a white “Swoosh” on the side
-    Suspect is a Black male
-    Suspect’s face was covered with a blue and white handkerchief  
-    Hands were covered with purple latex gloves, like the ones you’d find in a medical clinic
-    Suspect spoke clearly and did not have a noticeable accent



The Saint John Police Force Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate this armed robbery and is seeking the assistance of the general public in identifying the individual involved.
