Update - Violent altercation on Peters Street

Saint John, NB- A 33 year old male will be appearing in Provincial court this morning in Saint John, facing a criminal charge relating to the death of a 27 year old male victim.

This investigation resulted from a violent altercation that occurred at 33 Peters Street in Uptown Saint John on November 13th, shortly before noon.

On Thursday, November 13th, 2014 at 1142am, the Saint John Police Force (SJPF) responded to 31-33 Peters Street in Uptown Saint John regarding two males that had received injuries as a result of a violent altercation.

Two males from this incident have been transported to the Saint John Regional Hospital by ambulances.

One male is currently being treated while the other male has succumbed to his injuries.

Three males have been taken into Police custody shortly after this incident.

All parties involved in this altercation are known to one another and this incident is not considered to be a random act.

The Saint John Police Force’s Major Crime Unit was called to the scene and is treating this investigation as a homicide.
