Ongoing Advisories

Updated July 17, 2020

On behalf of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) wishes to advise the travelling public that on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, the Westbound off-ramp from Route 1 to Rothesay Ave (Exit 129) and Route 1 00/Rothesay Road under the CNR Overpass will be reduced to one lane between sunrise and sunset. This lane closure is to allow preparation work for the installation of traffic lights. This work is expected to take approximately five days to complete, weather permitting. The department apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public's continued patience. The Department reminds motorists to reduce speed, drive safely and to check NB511 for updates.

Traffic from both directions on the structure will be switched from the current northbound lanes to the southbound lanes. This change will also result in the temporary closure of the eastbound on-ramp to Route 1 for approximately three (3) to four (4) months. Detour signage will be in place.
