City Awards Thirty Local Organizations with Community Grant Funding


Mayor Don Darling, members of Saint John Common Council, and the Community Grants Committee hosted a reception today to award recipients of its annual Community Grants Program.  The annual program provides funding to local, non-profit organizations who support Saint John communities through the delivery of social, cultural and recreational activities.

This year, the Community Grants Committee identified thirty successful recipients:

13. Lancaster Kiwanis Club
14. Latimore Lake Community Centre 
15. Lorneville Community Centre 
16. Marathon by the Sea
17. Martinon Community Centre 
18. Milford Community Centre 
19. NB Competitive Festival of Music 
20. NBYO – Sistema
21. New Dawn Community
22. PRUDE Inc 
23. Read SJ 
24. Seaside Lawn Bowling Club
25. Seniors Resource Centre

A total of $179,771 was awarded to support operational costs, as well as projects and events that foster healthy, active and inclusive communities.
