Garbage and Compost Collection

Changes to garbage collection schedules for New Brunswick Day, August 3

City of Saint John solid waste customers are advised of the following changes to regular collection schedule for Monday, August 3, 2020.

Monday, August 3
Regular Monday daytime collection moves to Monday nighttime collection.
Customers are asked to have their garbage and compost curbside no earlier than 6:00 p.m. and no later than 9:00 p.m.

Reminder: Curbside placement of garbage and compost carts
Customers are reminded to place their compost carts with the lid opening towards the street and the wheels toward your home to support automated collection technology. Thanks to this technology, there is no longer a need to place objects at the bottom of carts to elevate bags for garbage collection crews. All contents inside compost and garbage carts will be disposed.
City crews appreciate the efforts of customers to facilitate the efficient collection of garbage and compost.
