City informs residents of unplanned maintenance work at Hilton Belyea Arena

18-Oct-2019

The City of Saint John advises the public of a temporary closure at the Hilton Belyea Arena, effective immediately, to allow for unplanned maintenance operations on the ice surface.

Work is underway to shave and rebuild the ice surface to address safety concerns that were identified during routine maintenance inspections. The City expects this work will take a week to complete and will notify the public once the arena reopens.

For a list of public skating times available at the City’s three other arenas – Charles Gorman Arena, Steward Hurley Arena, or Peter Murray Arena – visit the Skating Schedule.

The City apologizes for this temporary disruption in service and thanks the public for their attention and understanding.
