City of Saint John beaches, splash pads, and parks will be open to enjoy on New Brunswick Day

The City of Saint John is pleased to advise the public that five beaches and three splash pads will be open for New Brunswick Day, Monday, August 3, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.. The City’s various parks will also be accessible for the public from dawn until dusk. Previously announced summer 2020 hours will resume for these public spaces following the holiday Monday. 

The five beaches available Monday will be:
Mispec Beach
Little River Reservoir (lifeguards on duty)
Fisher Lakes (lifeguards on duty)
Lily Lake (lifeguards on duty)
Dominion Park (lifeguards on duty)

The three splash pads available Monday will be:
Rainbow Park
Flemming Court
Market Place West

The City of Saint John is also pleased to announce the Market Place West splash pad is re-opening to the public Saturday, August 1. This facility was closed for two days due to work at the adjacent playground.

The public is reminded to maintain physical distancing, practice good hygiene, and follow additional instructions posted at various City recreation facilities. Together, we can continue to provide access to recreational opportunities safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regular 2020 summer hours for the City’s public spaces are as follows:
Beaches
Wednesdays to Sundays, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Splash Pads 
Wednesdays to Sundays, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Parks
Seven days a week, from dawn until dusk
