City of Saint John expresses deep condolences and extends invitation to planned vigil

10-Jan-2020

Flags have been lowered across Saint John as we extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by the tragic airplane crash of Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 in Iran. As a community, we are mourning along with the families, friends and communities impacted across Canada and around the world - 176 lives were lost, including 63 of our fellow Canadians.

To honour the lives of those who died, the Greater Saint John community will come together for a special vigil this evening, Friday, January 10, beginning at 6 p.m. in front of Saint John City Hall, 15 Market Square.

Everyone is invited, welcomed and encouraged to attend.
