See you on our uptown Open Streets!

Open Streets Saint John is part of a pilot program to support local economic recovery and social rejuvenation during the global COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative has been successfully adopted to help meet the changing needs of communities and encourage safe physical distancing in open-air settings. With the temporary opening of pedestrian-friendly streets in Saint John, local businesses and restaurants have the opportunity to open their doors and expand onto the sidewalks and streets to offer residents and visitors unique, new experiences.

The Open Streets Saint John pilot program is expected to include additional weekend street openings this summer, facilitated on a rotating street basis. Further details for dates and locations of additional open streets will be provided through the City’s social media channels and website.

Notice to motorists: Prince William Street from Grannan Street to Princess Street will be closed to through traffic and on-street parking this Saturday, September 19 from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Vehicle owners are kindly asked to avoid on-street overnight parking within the identified area on Friday night.
