City of Saint John remains hopeful that Provincial capital budget projects will be slated for Saint John

The Provincial Government passed a $599.2 million capital budget in Fredericton yesterday with estimates announced in four key priority areas. The City is encouraged by the overall priority placed on improving the quality of life for all New Brunswickers through world-class education, infrastructure renewal and development and dependable health care.

“While specific projects were not included in yesterday’s announcement, we remain hopeful that significant investments will be made in Saint John,” says City of Saint John Mayor, Don Darling. “We look forward to receiving further details as the Provincial Government departments announce the specific projects associated with their allocated budgets. The City will continue to advocate for catalytic investments in our community that are supported by compelling business cases that demonstrate strong returns through leveraged private sector investment for the Province of New Brunswick.”
