City Crews continue to flood Rainbow Park

City crews worked overnight to add to the base of the ice pad at Rainbow Park. Crews will continue to flood the rink throughout the day in order to attempt to build up a base layer that will last through the warm weather forecasted for the weekend.

Temperatures are forecasted to rise to over zero on Saturday (December 30), Sunday (December 31) and Monday (January 1).

Updates are available at 652-PLAY and here.

Skaters are reminded that hockey is prohibited on the skating oval and helmets are recommended.

Public skating is also available at one of the City’s arenas. Check here for a schedule or call 652-PLAY.
