City crews removing snow banks around the City

City Crews will be out this weekend beginning Saturday morning (February 5) cutting into snow banks, widening streets and removing snow in the following areas:

Champlain Heights
Lower West side
Courtney Causeway
Elliot Row

Citizens are reminded to use caution while driving or walking around snow banks, especially during snow removal operations. Please ensure that children do not play on (or in) snow banks on sidewalks and roadways.

The sidewalk roadway maintenance service seeks to maintain accessibility and safety of City streets and sidewalks by mitigating the combined effects of rain, freezing rain, ice pellets, snow, extremes of temperature, formation of ice, and runoff.
