P.R.O. Kids Sponsors Recognized

Saint John Mayor Mel Norton and P.R.O. Kids Advisory Chair Kathryn Davison thanked sponsors, fundraisers and the P.R.O. Kids Advisory Board for enabling 750 children and youth up to the age of 18 to access culture and recreation activities in 2012. Rothesay Mayor Bill Bishop, Quispamsis Mayor Murray Driscoll and Grand Bay-Westfield Mayor Grace Losier also attended the reception.

P.R.O. Kids is a proactive and confidential service offered by the Leisure Services Department of the City of Saint John to all children and youth in Saint John, Quispamsis, Grand Bay-Westfield and Rothesay. All administration costs are covered by these municipalities, allowing 100% of donations received to be directed to the children and youth of the community.

P.R.O. Kids receives support from organizations, businesses and service providers who donate spaces in their programs, provide financial or "in kind" assistance, and/or donate supplies, equipment and transportation to and from activities or programs. In 2012, over $175,000 was raised.
