Fire hydrant flushing – West Saint John

The City of Saint John is proceeding with a program of fire hydrant flushing to clean the water distribution pipes in West Saint John starting on Monday,  August 10, 2020. Over the next few weeks flushing will be performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.  This may affect water customers in areas or subdivisions on or near King William Road, Ocean Westway, Manawagonish Road, Dever Road, Fairville Boulevard, Main Street West, and Milford/Randolph.

Customers may experience turbidity (dirty or cloudy) water for up to 20 minutes if they use water during the time that the line on their street is being flushed.  Though customers may encounter a drop in water pressure, at no time should they be without water. The water is safe to consume.
