Help Saint John Find New Sculpture Sites

The City of Saint John is acquiring two of the granite sculptures being created at this year’s Sculpture Saint John international sculpture symposium being held in August and September. Rafail Georgiev from Bulgaria and Patrick Sullivan from Canada will create the City’s new sculptures.
There are currently seven granite sculptures located in Saint John that were created at previous Sculpture Saint John symposia. They are located at Harbour Passage (2), UNBSJ, Rockwood Park, the Public Gardens, NBCC on Grandview Ave. and the Saint John Airport. The City’s site selection committee would like these two new sculptures to be located within distinct neighbourhoods of the City that do not currently have a sculpture. The committee examined 11 possible locations, and has narrowed them down to five possible locations for the two sculptures.
