Brunswick Pipeline to Hold Mock Emergency Exercises

On behalf of Emera New Brunswick

Emera New Brunswick, owner and operator of the Brunswick Pipeline, will conduct a mock emergency exercise on Tuesday, September 15. The exercise will run from  10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the Brunswick Pipeline right-of-way, in the vicinity of Red Head Road.

Emera New Brunswick places the utmost importance on safety. Mock exercises are routine and provide emergency responders and Brunswick Pipeline employees the opportunity to test our emergency response plans and interagency communications practices in a simulated emergency scenario.
Area residents may notice emergency response vehicles and increased activity during this time, but we do not anticipate any traffic disruptions or impact to local homes or businesses. No natural gas will be released during the exercise.
Participating in the mock exercise along with Brunswick Pipeline personnel will be members of the Saint John Fire Department and the Saint John Emergency Management Organization. All COVID-19 protocols will be followed during the event; nothing is more important to us than the safety, health and wellness of participants.
