No Snow Ban Called for New Year’s Eve

There will be no snow ban called tonight for the South Central Peninsula.  However, the Saint John Parking Commission reminds residents that New Year's Eve is a change-over night for alternate side parking in the South Central Peninsula.  Between 6:00 PM and midnight this evening, cars must move to the odd-numbered side of the streets.

As a courtesy on New Year’s Eve, the designated snow ban parking lots in the South Central Peninsula will be available for use overnight at no cost from 6:00 PM until 12:00 NOON on New Year’s Day.  This will ensure there is ample parking for residents and their guests.  Residents and guests of the South Central Peninsula are encouraged to use the snow ban parking lots up until 12 noon tomorrow, as this will assist in snow clearing operations.

South Central Peninsula residents are advised to stay tuned to their local media as a snow ban may be called in the next 2-3 days.  Up to date information on snow bans can be obtained by calling the information line at 658-4040.

The City of Saint John and the Saint John Parking Commission wish citizens a safe and happy New Year.
