Reminder: City offers support to residents with a special post Dorian Tree Clean-Up Program, beginning Monday, September 23

20-Sep-2019

With the majority of emergency and high priority tree removal tasks completed, the City is preparing for special curb side pick up to assist residents with the cleanup of storm-damaged tree material. This pick-up is only for branches and trunks of trees damaged by Hurricane Dorian.

Residents must have any debris, such as branches or trunks from fallen and damaged trees, to the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday, September 23 for a one time pick-up service from September 23–27 only. Where possible, residents should neatly stack limbs/branches at the front edge of their properties without blocking either sidewalks or roads. Crews will begin clearing the tree debris from curbs the morning of Monday, September 23.

To assist crews with the coordination of this effort, residents are requested to register for the Residential Tree Clean-Up Program by calling the City’s customer service line at 658-4455.

Solid waste collection will still follow the regular schedule. Tree debris piles are to be separated from solid waste piles.

The Residential Tree Clean-Up Program is a coordinated effort between crews from Transportation and Environment Services, including roadway maintenance and parks and city landscape.

The City thanks residents for their cooperation as this special collection gets underway.
