Rockwood Park: Ice and trail update

The ice at Lily Lake is currently soft and slushy, and not ideal for skating. Rockwood Park advises to please remain off the ice until the weather becomes colder. Activity on the ice during slushy conditions can leave footprints and divots that freeze and result in a bumpy surface. A smooth ice surface will be ideal for the upcoming Warm Up to Winter event scheduled for next Saturday, February 22.

Free public skating is available at City of Saint John arenas. As a reminder, all four arenas will also hold free public skating this Monday, February 17, to celebrate Family Day. Visit www.saintjohn.ca/arenas to view the schedules.

Rockwood trails are in great condition. Some of the single track has been groomed and the rest of the wide trails will be re-groomed again by the weekend.

The lighting around the Lily Lake trail has been restored.
