Saint John - Let’s Welcome Summer Together

18-Jul-2019

(Saint John, NB) The City of Saint John’s first official Summer Welcome Event scheduled for this Saturday at Dominion Park will cap off the annual Passport to Parks summer event series. The afternoon event will blend traditional maritime beach activities like a BBQ, kayaking and washer toss with activities that bring a multicultural flare such as Bollywood dancing and a steel drum band.

“This event is an opportunity for all of Saint John to celebrate summer together at one of our beautiful beaches,” says Population Growth Officer, Jennifer Waldschutz. “We are rolling out the welcome mat for all residents, newcomers, neighbours and visitors. Everyone is welcome.”

The City of Saint John is proud to offer the following family-friendly activities all free of charge:

BBQ by Lancaster Kiwanis
Kayaking by Go Fundy Events
Face-painting by Cathie Wilson
Balloon Art by Zap Magic
Live Beach Music by Why Shark Why Surfer Band
Dancing by Bollywood Dance Studio Inc.
