Solid Waste Customers – Westfield Road and Dominion Park areas


Household Garbage Collection

Westfield Road area 

Thursday, May 17, a special residential garbage & compost collection for flood-impacted residents.‎ This pick up includes normal compost materials and bagged, household garbage. Residents are asked to have their garbage curbside by 7:30 a.m.

The Westfield Road area includes:

                By Road number 7
                Farry Cove Lane after house number 16
                Lawrence Long Road
                Westfield Road from Grenville Lane to Gault Road 

Dominion Park area 

Friday, May 18, regular residential garbage & compost collection will resume in the area.

Special pick-ups for flood-damaged materials – West and North 


Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 15 to May 31, the City will be providing special collection service for river debris, flood-damaged white goods, and sandbags. Additional pick-ups may be offered after the 31st if required. Once you have your materials sorted and placed curbside, residents can call 658-4455 to arrange a pick up on these dates. Please have items to the curb by 7:30 a.m. and ensure it is separated into four piles: 
o   Flood debris
o   White goods (such as appliances)
o   Sandbags
o   Bagged garbage (Items that can be bagged need to be)
We remind all residents to not put river debris in the compost. It is considered contaminated and must be disposed of in the landfill.
