The Saint John City Market Tower Exterior to be Preserved

The City wishes to notify the public that beginning Monday, August 21, structural preservation work will begin on the exterior of the Saint John City Market Tower.  The work will require staging/scaffolding to encompass the Charlotte Street side of the City Market for approximately four months.

While the work is underway, all City Market merchants will remain open as per their regular business hours. This includes those situated at the top of the Market – Billy’s Seafood Company, Infusion Tea Room & Bistro and Howard’s Convenience.

Visitors can continue to access the Market through the Charlotte Street and Germain Street entrances as well as the pedway.

North Market Street and South Market Street will remain open to motorists and pedestrians.

We thank citizens and visitors for their patience during this time, and look forward to unveiling the newly preserved exterior.
