Tri-Cities Mayors meet to discuss immigration, municipal issues, homelessness and other priorities



The mayors of New Brunswick’s three largest cities met today in Fredericton to discuss matters of interest to the tri-cities and all eight provincial cities.

In attendance were Mayor Mike O’Brien, City of Fredericton, Mayor Dawn Arnold, City of Moncton, and Mayor Don Darling, City of Saint John, as well as several municipal staff members.

The day included presentations on immigration, municipal issues and homelessness with federal and provincial officials. 

The three mayors also discuss Tri-City initiatives like purchasing and continuous improvement. 

The day ended with a discussion about the 8-Cities of New Brunswick priorities (background document provided), as well as the proposed Tourism Marketing Fund.

The Tri-Cities mayors will meet again during the first quarter of 2019.
