Two of three City of Saint John Splash pads open today

The Market Place splash pad is also available for public use as of July 22, 2020 and will be open Wednesdays-Sundays, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The City of Saint John is pleased to announce that the Rainbow Park and Flemming Court splash pads are available for public use as of July 15, 2020.  These facilities will be open Wednesdays-Sundays, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  Users are asked to practice physical distancing, use their own hand sanitizer, and follow the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health. Other requirements to keep each other safe at these facilities are posted on site.

City of Saint John Safety Ambassadors, a special program put in place by the City to further promote safe health practices City facilities, will be visiting these facilities to promote healthy practices.

The City opened select playgrounds, courts, skate parks and one-way trails in time for long weekend on May 19. Five City beaches were opened with lifeguard service on July 2. Additional recreation facilities were opened throughout the last 2 months and all were opened with plans that align with advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health.

The City’s third splash pad on Market Place West will be opened once safety improvements to the adjacent playground are complete.

We ask facility users to closely observe all posted signage and thank them for their patience as we work together as a community to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
