Join the fun and support local on Open Streets in West Saint John this Saturday, September 12 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Main Street West from Church Avenue to Charles Street West will be closed to vehicle traffic and open for you, family and friends to make Saturday a stay-cation in West Saint John! Explore your favourite spots, grab an ice cream, dine in the open air, shop, take in an activity hub, or simply relax in a pop-up ‘chill zone’. Whatever you come for, you will enjoy the experience of West Saint John with extra space to properly physically distance.

Open Streets Saint John is part of a pilot program to support local economic recovery and social rejuvenation during the global COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative has been successfully adopted to help meet the changing needs of communities and encourage safe physical distancing in open-air settings. With the temporary opening of pedestrian-friendly streets in Saint John, local businesses and restaurants have the opportunity to open their doors and expand onto the sidewalks and streets to offer residents and visitors unique, new experiences.

Notice to motorists: Main Street West from Church Avenue to Charles Street West will be closed to through traffic and on-street parking this Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Vehicle owners are kindly asked to avoid on-street overnight parking within the identified area on Friday night.
