Free overnight parking available Thursday-Saturday in areas uptown until October 31

Supporting local just got easier – come uptown to enjoy a night out and leave your car until the next morning.

The City of Saint John is pleased to offer free overnight parking on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. between May 1 and October 31 within the Entertainment District. On-Street Parking continues to be free nightly from 6 p.m. until midnight in the Entertainment District and all daytime parking rules apply as usual from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The entertainment district is defined in Schedule I-1 of the Traffic By-Law as the area bounded by Water Street and Charlotte Street, from King Street to Duke Street.

In addition, there is free overnight parking in all City-managed parking lots (excluding the Market Square and Peel Plaza parking garages), from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
