Parking Bans

Parking bans help crews safely remove snow and keep streets clear during the winter months.

When are parking bans declared?

  • Parking bans can happen any time during winter when snow or ice needs to be removed from city streets.

Types of Parking Bans

There are two areas in the city where different bans may apply:

  1. North, East & West (NEW) - all streets in these areas
  2. South Central Peninsula (SCP) - all streets in the uptown/South end of the City
  3. Selected Streets: No Parking for snow clearing - Public works select specific problem streets and post physical signs.

Parking Ban Hours

Once a ban is announced, you cannot park on the street during these times:

Important: Vehicles parked on the street during a ban may be ticketed and/or towed at your expense.

Why Parking Bans Matter
